Ibiza Chronicles is an independent documentary production dedicated to creating a permanent audiovisual archive of Ibiza.
Our films explore the island through history, culture, architecture, nature, craftsmanship, gastronomy and the people whose lives and work have shaped its identity over time.
We believe that heritage is not limited to the past. Every generation leaves its mark on the island, and our purpose is to document both the historical foundations of Ibiza and the contemporary chapters that may one day become part of its cultural legacy.
Rather than producing content for the moment, we create cinematic documentaries designed to remain valuable for decades.
Islands change. Landscapes evolve, traditions transform and places that once defined an identity can disappear within a single generation.
Every transformation, however, leaves behind a story worth understanding before it is forgotten.
Ibiza Chronicles was born from the conviction that the island's identity deserves to be documented with the same care and respect reserved for works of history or art.
Our films explore Ibiza beyond stereotypes, documenting both its historical heritage and the people, places and ideas that continue to shape its evolution today.
We do not create content designed for algorithms or short attention spans. Every production is conceived as a cinematic work intended to remain relevant not only today, but for future generations.
Every documentary begins with a single question:
Does this story help people better understand Ibiza?
For us, a location is never simply a backdrop, nor a business simply a commercial partner. They become part of the narrative only when they genuinely contribute to explaining the island's identity, history or evolution.
Some of the island's most valuable stories remain largely undocumented.
To help identify them, Ibiza Chronicles maintains a permanent Heritage Documentation Program through which individuals, organisations and local businesses may present places, traditions or projects for editorial consideration.
If you manage a historic property, an authentic local business, a traditional craft, an institution, a cultural initiative or any place that contributes meaningfully to the identity of Ibiza, we welcome your submission.
Every proposal is evaluated according to its historical, cultural, social, environmental or territorial significance, together with its narrative and visual potential.
Selection is never based on commercial value.
Ibiza Chronicles welcomes collaborations with individuals, organisations and businesses whose work contributes positively to the identity, culture, heritage or future of Ibiza.
This includes historical sites, family businesses, artisans, local producers, cultural institutions, architects, conservation projects, hotels, restaurants, wineries, contemporary cultural initiatives and other organisations whose stories help explain the island.
Editorial independence also means recognising that not every story is compatible with our mission.
Although we document both the historical and contemporary evolution of Ibiza, we do not collaborate with organisations or initiatives whose activities fundamentally conflict with the values this archive exists to preserve.
This generally includes projects primarily associated with:
Each case is assessed individually.
Our responsibility is not simply to document Ibiza as it changes, but to decide carefully which stories deserve to become part of its permanent audiovisual memory.
Production standard: Ultra High Definition 4K UHD
